Welcome - Reunion time is coming up on September 24!

UPDATE! - Want to help plan and man (or woman!) the reunion? The meetings for the committee are all on Thursdays - August 11, August 18, and August 25, at the Toano Fire Dept. East Wing at 7pm. You are ALL welcome. The committee needs hands to help with the preparation of the reunion grounds, and the displays for the reunion. Anyone willing to help will be greeted with open arms!

At the reunion, you can find for sale clear insulated tumblers with the JB Logo on them. 16oz. Guarantee for Life, made in the USA...and probably T-shirts and Polos.

We now have a new registration/payment deadline for those who wish to attend, and may have missed the first deadline due to returned mail, or late mailings. We have to give the caterers a final count on September 1st so we are asking that all monies be sent in by August 24th.

Checks should be made out to and mailed to the following:

James Blair High School Association
P. O. Box 6881
Williamsburg, Virginia 23188-6881

OR

For your convenience, you can also on this site by submitting your payment using the Paypal "donation" button on the left side of this page. The cost is still only $45.00 per person.

Walk-ins Policy: If you decide at the last minute you are able to attend, we do welcome you; however, you will have to pay $50.00 per person to get in. The caterers have only a percentage of extra food and once we have hit that number we cannot guarantee a meal for walk-ins. Sign in and ID required also.

We also need to remind all who attend that there are some things to keep in mind about this reunion:
  1. No pets allowed (unless a certified Service Animal)
  2. No person under the age of 21 will be admitted.
  3. You MUST sign in at desk for admittance to get your ticket for your meal and wrist band. Your ID will be required. (due to security concerns.) The meal requires your ticket, please be sure to hold onto it once you have it, as NO ticket, NO meal.
  4. Handicap parking available for those with proper sticker/tags. We will have several golf carts available to shuttle to and from registration desk.
  5. Dress for this event is casual.
  6. This is a Bring Your Own Beverage (alcoholic, and soft drinks that is…water and ice are being provided, and there will be tea with the meal.) If your group wishes to have munchies, please bring them as well. Grills will be on site for those who wish to use them.
  7. The area opens at 12 noon for socializing, and the entertainment begins at 4 p.m. The main program will begin at 4:30, and food will be served between 5 and 6 p.m.
  8. Our entertainment is Philip Newbery. He has said he will play all requests, if you have music he does not have, he will play your CD and return to you. There will be a TIP JAR at his table, and we know one and all will be very generous.
  9. The event ENDS at 9 p.m.
(If you wish to continue socializing; there are several businesses nearby in New Town that we are sure would welcome the business. The Corner Pocket, Greenleaf (they do have a cover charge), Center Street, Bon Amici. There is also the Inn and Lodge, or maybe a classmate’s home.)

If you stay later than assigned time, we will put you to work, helping with the clean-up. The facility is being used the next morning, early so we need to have it ready for them.

Electronic Yearbooks will be available for sale on site as well as special JBHS items.

Thank you for your enthusiasm, and all you efforts to make this a good time to be had by all. We look forward to seeing one and all!

E-mail received 03/27/10. Contact us and we'll give you Scott's E-mail address. "Looking to connect with old friends. I would have graduated in 72 and moved the last 6 months to Gloucester. - Kevin Scott Lakey 1954 Looking for an old buddie Kenon Doyle Wilson, \"Ken Wilson\" 72\' or 73\' -Scott Lakey"

Winston S. "I stumbled across this page tonight just browsing old Williamsburg. Really good to see the familiar faces. My memory is vivid for those days as you graduated one year before me, last of the JBHS and me the first of the LHS. Having been a photographer for the yearbook I well remember many of you and the antics before and after the actual photo that ended up in the yearbook. Best wishes to you all for 2010!"

Joanie W (Class of 1959) "In high school, my name was Joanie Wimmer, class of 1959. I would be happy to hear from classmates."
